Why We Hate Private Label Tires
Let’s get this out of the way right now --We HATE “PRIVATE LABEL TIRES.”
There is only one reason tire stores sell this kind of tire--to keep you, the consumer, from accurately comparing tires from one store to the next. This is always a chain store’s “go to” tire because it is the highest profit margin tire they sell. Typical reviews for this type of tire include; poor performance, noisy ride and premature tire wear. You will often hear “this tire is made by Cooper” or “insert another manufacturer’s name.” Just remember, if it is a Cooper tire it will say Cooper on the side! Besides that, we’re not all that crazy about Cooper tires--let alone some second tier tire they make for somebody else.
Some of the tires in this category are: Multi Mile, American etc. “Below average performance” and “average price for house brand tires” best describe these tires. They are “go to” tires for Belle Tire and other tire companies that belong to the American Car Care Centers.
Even if you are not buying your tires from us PLEASE do yourself a favor and stick with a brand name like Nokian, Michelin, Firestone, Bridgestone, BF Goodrich, Goodyear, Hankook, Toyo, Yokohama – you will get more tire for your $$$ and be happier in the long run.
